Refunds & cancellation
Last updated: 21 September 2026
You are paying Answer With Iris, LLC d/b/a Answer with Iris (Fort Worth, TX). This is a commercial subscription for an after-hours answering desk. It is not a consumer gadget return. This page is not legal advice.
Cancel anytime
Desk → Cancel at period end. That stops the next renewal. You keep the desk through time already paid. Annual unused months are not prorated or refunded unless Texas or federal law requires it. A cancel is not a refund.
Trials
A trial only runs if you entered a valid trial code and put a card on file. That skips the charge at step 3. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged the desk price. No trial code means you pay when you start the desk. Creating an account (step 1) and filling the shop (step 2) do not charge you.
Refunds
There is no shop-owner refund button. Email support@answerwithiris.com. If we issue a refund, it is on the last paid invoice. A refund does not by itself cancel the desk — pause or cancel separately or it will renew. Chargebacks are handled through the card network.
Booking delivery guarantee
If Answer with Iris took a complete job and we failed to deliver that job to the shop, we credit one month of that desk. Booked Desk and Shop Desk only. This is not a promise that a caller will hire you or that a tech will roll. Advertising that “Answer with Iris books jobs” means we attempt delivery through text, email, desk, and the connected board — not that a homeowner hires you.
What “Answer with Iris took a complete job” means
The recording and transcript must show the caller wanted the appointment or morning job and left name, cell, and an address (or a clear refusal after Answer with Iris asked), plus the issue. Hang-ups, “I’ll call back,” 911, and declined tonight with no morning slot do not count.
What “we delivered” means
We count it delivered if any one of these exists for that call:
- owner job text
- morning brief email
- job on the shop desk
- Booked Desk / Shop Desk: job written to the connected Jobber, Housecall Pro, or calendar after our retries
Your fault (we credit one month)
Our text, email, desk write, or calendar mapper failed on our side after retries, and none of the four landed, and the tape is complete.
Not your fault (no refund)
- forwarding off, desk paused, unpaid account
- calendar / Jobber / Housecall disconnected or their system down after we retried
- wrong zips, hours, or on-call board the shop typed
- Night Desk (no calendar write)
- tonight emergency (text to the tech, not a calendar slot)
- SMS opt-in off. If the shop did not check the box to receive transactional texts, we do not text that cell. Email and the desk still count as delivery. No booking credit because a text did not arrive.
- caller details missing or unusable on the tape
- tech said NO or did not roll
- chargeback already opened on that invoice
How to claim
Email support@answerwithiris.com within 14 days of the call. Shop name, approximate time, and what you expected (text, email, Jobber, calendar). We decide from the recording, transcript, and our logs. No tape, no credit. Recordings drop at 30 days — claim while we still have the tape.
What you get
One month of the monthly price for that desk (Booked $497, Shop $797). Night Desk has no booking credit. Annual prepaid desks still get one month only — we do not refund the rest of the year. One claim per shop per 12 months. Issued by Ops from the last invoice. A refund does not cancel or pause the desk. This credit is the shop’s sole remedy for a missed delivery.
Disputes
If a charge looks wrong, email support@answerwithiris.com within 14 days of the invoice date. Include the shop name and invoice number from the desk. We look at the invoice, the Stripe receipt, and the recording window.
After cancel
You can sign in and download invoices and remaining call history for 30 days — that is desk access, not the tax keep. Recordings still follow the 30-day clock. Invoices, tax, and billing records stay 4 years in our back office, as in Privacy and the DPA.
